The Top Programming Languages 2023

Every year, IEEE Spectrum puts out a report on the top programming languages. Now, there are some legitimate critiques of this ranking, but, taken with a grain of salt, it is interesting to see where R stands.

Read the report and you’ll find an interesting discussion of R’s place in relation to other programming languages (and also an admission that the analysis of data for the report was done in … R).

{svmkR}

Many people use Survey Monkey to conduct surveys. Until recently, the only R package to work with Survey Monkey data was woefully out of date. So, I was excited to come across the {svmkR} package recently. You can use it to do things like pull your data in directly from Survey Monkey, which is a huge time saver.
