Maker of RStudio launches new R and Python IDE
There’s a new code editor in town. Posit, the company that makes RStudio Desktop, widely used for editing R code, has released a beta of a new integrated development environment (aka IDE) called Positron. I’ve checked it out and it is definitely a more modern-feeling editor than RStudio. Will be interesting to see how this develops!
A timeline of R’s first 30 years
If you’re curious about the history of R, this timeline from the folks at Jumping Rivers provides a nice, high-level overview of its history.
Alternative ggplot2 use: Crochet Patterns
When Ryan McShane’s partner decided to crochet a baby blanket modeled on the Chicago flag, Ryan decided to contribute to the effort. In this blog post, learn how he made the pattern in ggplot, showing how it would look, depending on various pattern options.
