ctrl + shift + m on PC gives me the shortcut for the |> version of a pipe; is there a way to get the %>% version instead?
Gracielle Higino Coach • September 30, 2026
Hi Lilly! You can change the type of pipe you want in the settings of Positron. Go to Positron > Preferences > Settings and search for
pipe, and you'll find the option to change your default pipe (or just click here). We recommend that you stick to the native pipe
|>for consistency with the course material, but we understand if you need to change it for personal reasons. Just notice that they are indeed different, even though they work the same in the vast majority of the situations (read more about it here).
