Charlie Hadley • September 19, 2022
Hello!
I'm Charlie (she/her) and have been working with R in some capacity since 2015 when I learned the language to build interactive data visualisations at University of Oxford. Since then I've primarily focused on teaching R with a focus on reproducible research and data visualisation. My background is physics - with a little bit of specialisation in biophysics. But it's been ages since I've done any calculus and have really enjoyed how my teaching career has given me the opportunity to see how R is used by all sorts of different folks around the world.
Kirstin O'Dell • September 20, 2022
Hi! I'm Kirstin (she/her). I live and work in Oregon. I've been a research/evaluator for the Child Welfare Partnership in the School of Social Work at Portland State University for 25yrs. I'm new to R and excited to see how we can use in on my team to integrate what we currently use excel, spss and MSword to do.
Tom Peterson • September 22, 2022

Ann Wanjiku • September 22, 2022
Hi I'm Michelle, Kenyan based in Nairobi. I have been using R since 2019 September to be precise :) I am passionate about using data and research to improve learnings, transform strategies and make decisions. I learnt R on the job which was a steep learning curve and this will be my first R course with instructors and everything so I'm very excited. Looking forward to connecting the dots, deepening my knowledge and meeting new people!
Miguel Angel Ovies-Bocanegra • September 22, 2022

Morgan Browning • September 22, 2022
Hi, I am Morgan (she/her)! I graduated with a masters in research psychology and am pretty proficient with SPSS. I also work in an entry level clinical role with kids with severe OCD and anxiety. I am applying to clinical psychology phd programs and would liek to work in academia or industry in a clinical and research role, so I know R will be super useful to be more efficient.
Cat Wilkerson • September 22, 2022
Hey!! I'm Cat and have been working with R very on and off since maybe 2015. I've used it for small projects here and there on an as needed basis. My background is in biopsychology and ended up using it for class research projects and then work research projects later on from time to time.
Nadia Chang • September 22, 2022
Hi! I'm Nadia (she/her) from Guatemala City. My major is environmental engineering I've worked as a research assistant in my university in water and Covid-19 projects. I´m currently working in a startup that focuses developing insect animal protein. Here is where I started to learn about data analysis and reporting. That's how I got interested on learning how to produce visualizations that impact decision making. I am new in R, this is my first time using it. I am excited on learning how to program. I am a data science enthusiast
