You're all done with the Getting Started with R course. Congrats!

You may be wondering what else R can do. R can do data analysis (from the simple to the complex), data visualization, and much more. I'll cover these topics and more in the next course in the series: Fundamentals of R (see below). First, though, a few examples of what you can do in R.

I use R to analyze Census and other data and produce all of the figures for the annual Oregon by the Numbers report.

R is best known for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization, but you can do so much more with it. I wrote a short eBook (you can download it here ) to highlight some of R's lesser-known powers.

I'd love to get your feedback on this course. What went well? What didn't go so well? I'll use the feedback to improve this, and other, courses. Thanks!

Hi, I would like to know how you created the link that we use to download the course project with the function use_course("http://bit.ly/getting-started-with-r"). Perhaps you could give us instructions on making these links to share information.

What is the best way to close out of RStudio? When I close, I get a prompt asking if I want to save an image of the worksite. Should I say yes or no to this prompt? Additionally, after closing, when I click on the RStudio icon, RStudio opens with the most recent script that I was working on. Is this normal? What should I do if I want to start a new project and not work in my previous script? Thank you!!

Maybe it would be good for us beginners if you could just quickly go over the technical language or words that are most commonly used in R. For example, what's the difference between the so called data frames and an excel table?

David and Charlie,

I have enjoyed this course very much. The way you explain things makes it very easy to follow. You also provide insights on why things work the way they do in R (e.g., conflict messages when loading packages, the visual on objects and functions was incredibly helpful, working directories, etc.). These may seem minor clarifications but I'm leaving this course feeling I have a better understanding of R and more importantly, empowered to begin the next course. BTW, your short videos are awesome.

Thank you for this introductory course and for the time spent making it. Gustavo.
