Welcome to Mapping with R! The video above will walk you through all of the steps to download the materials for the course and show you how they work.
You can access the GitHub repository shown in the video here.
To download a (very large) ZIP file with all of the materials, click here.
If you have questions on any of the lessons, please add them below each lesson and we will get you feedback!

The course covers a wide variety of material. You should feel free to jump around as you see fit. That said, having a decent understanding of how geospatial data works (the first section of the course) is key no matter what you're doing.
If you do want to keep a record of what you've worked on, just hit the "Mark Complete" button at the bottom of each lesson.

Thanks very much, though the videos are too big in terms of the size(disc space). Cant they be compressed for easy download and just to reduce on the space space they are occupying on the machines?

I'm not sure this is possible. Videos are intentionally large to be high quality. If I compress them, you won't be able to see code etc. If this makes it impossible for you take the course, I'm happy to offer a refund.

Another problem am experiencing is that whenever I download the zip file containing the course materials and I try to unzip it, its telling me that the archive is corrupt hence I cant extract the files. What could be the problem? What I have observed is that the video is saying the zip file is about 400MB in size but the zip file am downloading is about 195MB. Any help please

Strange. I just tried and didn't get that error. Could you try again and let me know if it changes?

FYI, I had a similar problem. The fix is that you need to wait and let the whole file download and it takes longer than you might expect.
